The goal of Click is to be an open, decentralized community content platform.
By open we mean open source and open community development of features. Communication is paramount!
By decentralized we mean that it is oriented to create communities that can trust each other rather than requiring wiki farms for common features and editor accounts. Enable freedom of choice!
By community we mean the real world communities that use it: common people, not admins with servers, technical mavens or people who are focused on using wikis. Remember the individual!
By content we mean a variety of content: both traditional wiki features and a focus on putting multimedia and custom data types (for specialized communities) as a primary focus. A word processor is not the only application, and perhaps the wiki model shouldn't end there. Empower the community!

History
Click's development until 2011 was as a closed source content engine. In 2011, the commercial code was moved out and the core engine released as open source.
As a result, the community wiki aspect of the core engine has been neglected somewhat as specific client needs have been the focus of development for the past few years. Bringing these up to date and giving the power of the custom data-types to normal editors are our first development concerns.
